The City of McAllen maintains numerous athletic facilities. These facilities are used by the Department and other organizations for programming and athletic competitions. And with the growing popularity of sports like soccer, new facilities to be located throughout the city are being developed by the Department in conjunction with local organizations.
McAllen Sports Park – North
3301 Buddy Owens Blvd. McAllen, Texas 78501
The multi-use facility includes eight fields and one championship field which meets the needs of various sports including soccer, football, rugby, ultimate frisbee, flag football, and special events. In addition to the fields, the park’s amenities include lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, playground, water feature, concession area, and restroom facilities. A permit is required for use of this facility.
Bicentennial Soccer Complex
2001 Fern Ave. McAllen, Texas 78501
This soccer complex features two soccer fields : The facility also features bleachers and a concession stand. A permit is required for use of facility.
Springfest Multi-Purpose Fields
3501 South 23rd Street ( South of Jordan on 23rd St. )
This facility features 6 soccer fields as well as Polo practice fields
Westside Softball Complex
1000 S. Ware Rd. McAllen, Texas 78501
Dedicated to the city in 1983, this softball complex is one-of-a-kind with computerized score boards. These four beautifully landscaped fields are used for league play and tournaments. Concessions and restrooms are available. Permit is required.

Cascade Ball Field

Cascade Park features a softball/baseball field which can be rented by contacting the parks and recreation department. Permit is required.
Escandon Athletic Field

This facility features two baseball and soccer fields and bleachers. Permit required
Municipal Softball Complex
1921 N. Bicentennial Blvd, McAllen, Texas 78501
The Stutzenbecker Softball Complex at Municipal Park has six lighted fields. Bleachers and a concession area are also available. Permit is required for tournament rentals.
Jackson Athletic Field
501 W. Harvey St. , McAllen, Texas 78501
This facility features soccer and football usage fields and bleachers. No permit is required for general use. Permit is required for securing a playing space. Lights are available.
McAuliffe Athletic Field
3000 Daffodil Ave., McAllen, Texas 78501
This facility features fields for football and soccer. No permit is required for general usage. Permit is required when wanting to secure a playing area. Lights available.
Las Palmas Turf Field
2500 Quince Ave., McAllen, Texas 78501
This field features 24,000 square feet of turf that is only available for practice use. The field also features 640 feet of fencing around the perimeter. Only available for rent Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
Suarez Multipurpose Field
617 S. 27th Street, McAllen, Texas 78501
This field, located behind the Boys and Girls club, is used for polo, football, soccer, and baseball/softball. Permit is required
McAllen Highschool Tennis Courts
2021 La Vista Ave., McAllen, Texas 78501
These tennis courts are open to the public after school hours and close at 10:30 p.m. each night. These are sixteen lighted courts and windbreaks are provided.
Los Encinos Athletic Facility
2900 Sarah Ave. , McAllen, Texas 78501
Los Encinos Park is home to a wide array of athletic facilities including a lighted basketball pavilion, soccer, baseball, football, softball fields, sand volleyball courts, and an exercise trail. You can also find playground equipment, covered picnic tables, bleachers and a concession area. Permit is required.
Memorial Highschool Tennis Courts

These tennis courts are open to the public after school hours and close at 10:30 p.m. each night. These are sixteen lighted courts and windbreaks are provided.
McAllen Sports Park - MultiSports Pavilion
3301 Buddy Owens Blvd, McAllen, TX 78504
The pavilion supports play for indoor soccer, street hockey, pickleball and roller derby activities.
The pavilion is located on the south side of the McAllen Sports Park.
Travis Middle School Tennis Courts
600 Houston Ave. , McAllen, Texas 78501
Four lighted tennis courts are available for play. No reservations are necessary.
Daffodil Park
