Outdoor Recreation Town Lake at Firemen’s Park

There are a lot of ways to enjoy Town Lake at Firemen’s Park! With its 3-acre lake, ½ mile paved trail, playground, picnic areas, and convenient location right off the 2nd Street Hike and Bike trail, you can enjoy catch-and-release fishing, kayaking, running, biking, and many other outdoor activities.

The park and lake are open to the public from 6 am – 11 pm every day.

The H2O Hut at Town Lake is open and ready to help you make memories!
Residents & visitors will be able to rent boats, kayaks, fishing poles, purchase bait & snacks & much more!

Catch & Release Fishing

Fish include bass, catfish, bluegill and tilapia.

Ages 16 and under can fish without a license. Ages 17 and up require a valid state fishing license as per Texas Parks & Wildlife regulations. For Texas residents, this fee is currently $30 for the year or $11 for the day. Information on purchasing a license can be found at:

Pavilion & Pumphouse rentals

Available for groups by reservation only, and two picnic table shelters, which include a barbecue grill, are first-come, first serve.
