Community Center Las Palmas

Located on 1921 N. 25th Street in McAllen, TX.

Once known as the McAllen Senior Center, the Las Palmas Community Center was taken over by the City of McAllen on June 29, 1989.

The McAllen Senior Center was designed to accommodate senior citizens and provide them with fun leisure activities throughout the year.

The Las Palmas Community Center which provide services that are often including but not limited to indoor/outdoor cultural programs, leisure activities, and lifetime skills education in the community.

The Las Palmas Community Center is one of three community centers in the McAllen area and is the only community center without a library attached.

The Las Palmas Community Center, Lark Community Center, and Palm View Community Center also provide classroom space and gymnasium space for the recreational division.

Each of the community centers provide outreach programming within their service area, which include evening classes, senior classes, and special events.

The centers are available for rental to host small social gatherings, such as quinceañeras, weddings, birthdays parties, or other special events.
